I just want to share places in the Holy Land as we visit. Last weekend we went to Nazareth, and it was really amazing to see the church (photo of the low doorway to enter because “every knee will bow” ❤️) that was built above where Jesus was born (the spot is in the photo of a low alcove lit by candles, it has a silver star in the center that you’re allowed to touch, which my kids and I did) and where the manger was a few feet away. We also got to see the fields where the angel came to the shepherds and where a church was later built in the cave where shepherds would take shelter from the elements (the front is stone and flanked by two palm trees, and inside the cave there are star cutouts in the low ceiling for light). These are real places that for generations have been known to the locals for what happened there. Yet people still try to deny Christ is real! We were able to touch the very spot He was born, and it was such a blessing to share that moment with my children. Just a beautiful experience all around and my photos won’t do it justice but I’ll share a few! Wishing everyone a blessed and contemplative Christmas! Emmanuel! ❤️
